Our Story

ThaPlanka was established in 2020 by Thabang Shinners, a self-taught carpenter who started his journey by watching woodworking videos online. When he started ThaPlanka, he didn't know how to use a circular saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, or many other tools. But through dedication and using online resources, he mastered the craft.

"I was doing assignments on my bed during lockdown, then I realised how much more convenient having a foldable laptop table would be. The birth of ThaPlanka started there."
